This paper addresses the factors that influenced displaced Syrian families’ decision to leave Syria for Lebanon and how this impacted the time it took them to decide to leave. The research is grounded in the experiences of displaced Syrian families who fled to Lebanon in the past eight years since the start of the conflict in 2011.

I Teach Refugees To Map Their World
In Rochester Institute of Technology professor’s description of his class for refugees in the Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan, students learned taught mapping concepts like coordinate systems, projections, design and geographic visualization, and collecting spatial data with GPS.  The class then used this knowledge to map the sprawling camps' most important places, such as the locations of schools, mosques, shops, and health centers.
No Lost Generation Initiative
The No Lost Generation initiative advocates for education, child protection, and adolescents and youth support for those affected by the Syrian and Iraqi humanitarian crises.
